Who We Are

To support those seeking food assistance, the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank is conducting a number of pop-up pantries throughout our service area; Caroline County, City of Fredericksburg, King George County, Locust Grove Community, Spotsylvania County & Stafford County.

Volunteers are asked to help set up, distribute food, check-in participants, manage the line, clean up, and other tasks that may arise.

Please note: The length of distribution is dependent upon attendance and participant numbers may change from week to week. Opportunities will take place outdoors, most often on the sidewalk or a parking lot. Additionally, we may not have access to any of the facilities, including restrooms.

What We Do

Please click an opportunity below to see specifics, sign-up, or join the waitlist.

Volunteers MUST be 13 years or older. Pantries will take place rain or shine.

For safety reasons, only volunteers who have reserved a space may volunteer. Walk-ins will not be permitted. Please read these guidelines for volunteering at a Pop-Up Pantry, including the highlights below:

  • Wear close-toed shoes
  • We will be outside, please wear comfortable clothing (we recommend layers, a hat, and sunscreen due to the ever-changing weather conditions)
  • Be aware there will not be a place to store personal belongings, please do not bring valuables
  • We ask that any volunteer who does not feel well refrain from attending their volunteer shift

We encourage you to consider your own health before deciding to volunteer.

New opportunities are posted monthly.

Thank you for your flexibility as we meet this emergent need.
