    Hello volunteers,

In an effort to keep everyone informed and up to date, this post will be made and always available for reference. All of the information you might need to know before approaching the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank to complete your service hours can be found here!

Upon seeking the completion of court ordered community service, volunteers must produce a form of official documentation so that the charge may be verified. You will need to take a picture of it and upload the document to your profile (under "my files") once you register on our site as a volunteer. This is because the FRFB CAN NOT accept the following violations: violent offenses, brandishing weapons, any form of theft, drug charges above a schedule I, anything sexual in nature, or child neglect/abuse. If your violation does not meet our policy's standards, you will be informed during the screening process. Below is an easy 3 step process for approaching community service with the FRFB:

  1. Register as a volunteer; registering as a volunteer and using our system to track your hours will allow us to have the information we need in order to verify your hours of completion. It is imperative that volunteers sign in and out to properly track their hours!

  2. Verify via email or prior to orientation that your charge is for an approved violation.

  3. Attend an orientation; this is necessary in order to volunteer, and especially so for our most flexible opportunity.

Once you've completed your desired/required community service hours, you will get a printed or emailed letter of verification ONLY UPON REQUEST. Please allow the Volunteer Coordinator at least 48 hours to process your completion letter.

If you have any questions or concerns about community service, please feel free to email dthomas@fredfood.org
