In a time where we want to and feel as though we might lose our minds, it is more important now than ever that we think things through.
Please, if you are experiencing any possible symptoms of illness (COVID-19 or otherwise), we urge you to remain at home!

The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank is making efforts to limit the amount of volunteers in its facility at this time, and for extended amounts of time. Going forward, we will temporarily have shifts set up for (1) hour intervals for Quality Assurance (you have probably already seen it up with our other opportunities), and all Volunteer Orientations are cancelled until April 1st.
We want to encourage our volunteers to help, especially now when people will need it most - but we also understand that we should take precautionary measures and be aware of our surroundings! This is why we will be making decisions based on how busy we may or may not be, which could result in turning volunteers away should there be too many at a time. And while volunteers are here (or even if you're at home or work, etc.) we want to encourage social distancing; please maintain a reasonable distance from others. All volunteers are required to wash their hands prior to participating in any food handling project.
For more details on how the FRFB is responding to the COVID-19 outbreak, see this post here.
We will be providing information as it is made available to us in order to keep everyone up to date.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to us!
