Volunteers needed to prepare bags & attach postcards for the
2026 "Stamp Out Hunger" Food Drive
The National Association of Letter Carriers hosts a food drive on the second Saturday in May every year. The letter carriers drop off a postcard and bag in neighbors' mailboxes ahead of time and then pick them up that Saturday. While they handle the bulk of the work, our team will support this effort by folding 6,000 bags and attaching postcards. This drive historically brings in over 20,000 pounds of food. This opportunity is seated work, suitable for ages 8 and up.
Volunteers will:
- Fold plastic bags
- Attach message postcard to bags
- Count and pack finished bundles
