Volunteers, this is a grand opportunity for community involvement and partnership for us all! The Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank is looking to provide presence and volunteers with a task to help block traffic during this spectacular event!
This event is important to our community, so if you're able, please sign up! We also kindly ask that you refrain from registering if you are uncertain that you will be able to commit to the opportunity. Thank you for understanding!
Volunteers will be provided flags and vests; they will be stationed at designated intersections in order to block traffic flow in order for the walk to take place. This opportunity occurs outdoors in Downtown Fredericksburg. Volunteers will begin blocking traffic at the sight and presence of the first police vehicle and will hold it until after the second has passed - allowing for all participants to have safe passage.
Due to the nature of this opportunity, traffic volunteers MUST be 18+. If you wish to bring a friend, sibling, etc. to stand on the sidelines and provide support for those walking, that is welcome. However, do NOT use a registration slot to do so! Volunteers are also encouraged to wear their best July 4th outfit!
