The Driver Helper Volunteer will assist the FRFB Driver in the following areas:

  • Responsible for working with FRFB Children’s Programs Coordinator,  Kitchen Coordinator, and the Director of Programs daily to safely identify, pack, load and deliver daily meals. 

  • Ensure truck is ready to go and proper paperwork is ready.
  • Unload boxes and any extras at site. Report to each site supervisor to confirm proper meal quantities.

  • Help set up tent with driver and site supervisor.
  • Return to site to collect undistributed meals, pallets, and FRFB belongings. 

  • Ensure that the vehicles, supplies,  and equipment are properly maintained, cleaned, and are fully serviceable for the next day.

  • Return accurate daily paper logs to the Children's Programs Coordinator upon return to the warehouse.

This is a multiple hour volunteer opportunity that will occur through meal times.  Please bring money to stop or pack a lunch.

Summer Nutrition will occur, Monday-Friday, except holidays.
