Volunteer: Community Engagement - Germanna Resource Fair (Hunger and Homelessness Awareness) - Fredericksburg Campus* Must be knowledgeable of FRFB's mission, practices, procedures, and programs! Volunteers will accompany Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank (FRFB) staff member(s) at the community engagement location to help set up the table with FRFB materials (where applicable): flyers, donation box, swag gear, and any other items deemed beneficial to the event. Volunteers will also be familiar with FRFB processes and procedures to promote volunteering, donating, fundraising, hosting food drives, and raising awareness about hunger in our service area(s). * Savannah Roberts is the FRFB point of contact: sroberts@fredfood.org or 540-371-7666, Ext. 100 * Must wear close-toed shoes * No shorts, sweat pants, hoodies, or graphic tees * Please be punctual * Other vendors will be present; you will be permitted to walk around if you choose * If feeling ill, please unregister from the opportunity and stay home PARKING: Please feel free to park in any of the parking lots or the parking garage. All parking is free. If you park in the garage, please enter the building on your right as you exit. You will be located on the first floor, where the event is taking place. If you enter through the front doors on the 2nd floor, you will either come down the stairs or use the elevator located near the stairs to go to the 1st floor. Lunch: provided by Germanna - served between 12-1:00 pm. The lunch will consist of BBQ sandwiches, sides, tea and lemonade. Volunteer: Community Engagement - Band Together To Fight Hunger @ Mountain View High SchoolVolunteers will assist Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank staff at Stafford County's annual Band Together To Fight Hunger food & fundraising event at Mountain View High School. Volunteers will help set up an information table to engage in community outreach, effectively raise awareness about hunger in our communities, and provide education about Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank's mission and services. The appropriate volunteer(s) MUST be knowledgeable of the food bank's programs, initiatives, services, and procedures. FRFB will provide the necessary propaganda to support the verbal information offered. * Must wear closed-toed shoes. * This is an outdoor event.
