Yousef Haggy designed an app that provides users with access to important and useful information. It offers information such as locations of pantries, their hours of operation, and even directions on how to get there! The app is free and available for both Android and apple devices.

But this wasn't Haggy's first time helping the food bank. His senior year in high school, his computer class helped design an online training course in food safety. But fast forward to now and we have this wonderfully brilliant, and helpful app! An app which only took Yousef 3 weeks to develop and a month to get published. The app is called FredFoodVA and provides a list of hunger assistance programs partnered with the food bank, their hours of operation, where they are located, and even how to get into contact with them. Should the user want it - the app also provides push notifications for any updates and changes on a pantry or a new listing!

Spread the word, share the app, contact pantries to see who could use some volunteer help - or share it with someone you know who might be in need. As a community, it's up to us to make a difference.

Below is what the icon for the app looks like in your store.
