Happy New Year, friends!
January is almost over, and everything is changing (okay, okay...not everything)! A lot of our volunteers have come in, baffled and joining us in learning a new system and helping us to better organize our items! But together, we can all learn and benefit from these changes. Learning together, helps us to grow together!
New doesn't have to be scary! We have color coded carts to help with specific items and what they may or may not be categorized under, new APD rules (after package dates/dating), new transfer guidelines, and hopefully a better understanding of what foods go under which categories when being sorted! But these are just the basic changes! There's so much more where that comes from, and it's all on the rise!
But don't be alarmed! These are obstacles we will all be tackling together, and you will never be alone! Everyone dives into 2020 with goals to be better, to make change - and this is where we (you and us) come in! these changes are for the better of us and our community. But we can't do it alone! We need everyone on board, and we are counting on you - because our volunteers are the heart of our organization!
