It's important as ever now that we know our temperatures! Welcome to 2020! This is an opportunity that involves a volunteer manning our station where everyone has their temperature checked. They will record these temperatures as well as the names of individuals onto sheets. They will also be in charge of presenting a sticker to those coming into the facility (with the exclusion of staff); this brightly colored sticker tells us that the person has been temp'd and is safe!
The volunteer will also be asked to greet donors and visitors! Once a donor is identified, he/she becomes top priority! Please greet them with a sense of urgency by offering immediate assistance and locating a warehouse associate for follow up! With the Holidays fast approaching, we will see an increase of community support for our mission by bringing by food items for families in need! We always show immense gratitude by promptly assisting them. At the start of your first shift, you will be shown the proper procedures for donations.
We will offer a daily calendar to you for scheduled appointments by visitors and agencies, so you will always be prepared for your shift!
VOLUNTEERS - there are two very important questions that we MUST be asking when checking temperatures; please remember to ask the following:

Are you currently suffering from any of the following symptoms - fever, cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, new loss of smell or taste, and/or gastrointestinal problems, including nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting?

Have you lived with, or had close contact with, someone in the last 14 days diagnosed with or displaying the symptoms of COVID-19?
- Masks required! Gloves available for when it is required/necessary!
- Must be comfortable and willing to interact with others. (smile behind your mask!)
- Should dress appropriately for a warehouse setting/for the weather.
- No earbuds or headphones at any time. (we want you to be as aware of your surroundings as our own staff members - for safety and representation of our establishment!)
