**This opportunity is labor-intensive**
Volunteers will meet our Pop-Up Pantry driver at the designated location and an FRFB staff member will provide you with explicit instructions on gathering and distributing the monthly CSFP food boxes along with other food items to our senior neighbors within the specified community. Volunteers will be carrying and lifting heavy(bulky) items, both boxed and bagged. Volunteers will be climbing stairs with these items so please be conscious of any mobility challenges you may have. For safety reasons, only volunteers who have reserved a space may volunteer. Walk-ins will not be permitted. Please read these guidelines below:
- Volunteers MUST be 12 years or older. Volunteers 15 years old and younger must be accompanied by an adult at all times. All youth 17 years old and under, MUST complete a Youth Consent Form prior to volunteering, and return it to Dominique Thomas. ** Request form by emailing dthomas@fredfood.org.
- Wear close-toed shoes
- We will be outside, please wear comfortable clothing (we recommend layers, a hat, and sunscreen due to the ever-changing weather conditions)
- Be aware there will not be a place to store personal belongings, please do not bring valuables.
- We ask that any volunteer who does not feel well refrain from attending their volunteer shift.
- Pantries will take place rain or shine
- Team responses: Please remember to have each person register as a volunteer in order to add them to your Team.
