LEAD VOLUNTEERS will help the food bank collect donated produce at the Spotsy Farmers Market and oversee the function of our donation table! Volunteers will be responsible for supervising our FRFB table to receive donations, and engage and encourage customers and farmers to donate fresh produce to be distributed to our neighbors in need. FRFB will provide additional instructions on how the donations will be transported and/or picked up by a partner agency or FRFB team member.
** Equipment will need to be picked up from FRFB 1-2 days prior to the day of the event, as well as dropped back off to FRFB 2-3 days after the event.

Four (4) LEAD VOLUNTEERS needed to assist with facilitating our Farmers Market processes to include picking up the necessary equipment and supplies: crates, tent, table, chairs, paper towels/hand sanitizer, FRFB propaganda, etc on a day prior to the scheduled day and setting up the donation table, tent, crates to receive the produce donations, and scale on your scheduled Saturday at the Farmers Market.
You will help train and oversee volunteers as they arrive for their shift(s), on procedures as to how to collect donations from Farmers Market customers and farmers, and engage and encourage them to donate more by explaining how much of an impact their giving makes in their neighbors’ lives and how their efforts improve communities. We request that the lead volunteers be knowledgeable in FRFB practices regarding donations and distributions.
There are different roles that are needed within this opportunity. A Volunteer that is engaging with the community and assisting with collecting produce from those who are interested in donating, weighing the produce that comes in and recording it, and providing the donation receipts when requested. At the end of the Farmers Market, all of the equipment: crates, the tent and tables need to be broken down, all collected produce will be loaded into a partnering agencies vehicle for distribution.
