Work assessments are offered to job coaches, caseworkers(managers), employment aides, and their clients/participants, in an effort to provide the population in which they serve, exposure to warehouse activities and how a food bank works. Individuals will learn about the function of our facility, our most flexible program known as Warehouse Quality Assurance, and how we carry out quality control to ensure the safety of salvageable material - edible and non-food items. Volunteers are expected to listen to an oral and interactive presentation and ask questions where applicable. Orientation will also provide the volunteer with information regarding current and future volunteerism, as well as an explanation of how volunteer hours are recorded.
